Angelique Mullen is an elementary school Teacher Librarian in San Francisco and the mother of two children. Her family suffered a devastating loss in August of 2014 when her husband of 16 years died unexpectedly. This blog was born from a frustration with and also a fascination for grief books written for children. Most books in this genre are read only when they are needed, but children’s needs after death and loss are varied. It is her hope that this blog will be useful for parents, teachers, counselors, librarians, and children themselves for finding books that speak to their grief and help them understand that their feelings are normal.
